Anuradha “Anu” Malik
M.A., LPCC, EMDRIA CERTIFIED THERAPIST

I inherently believe that to be an effective healer, it is essential to have an intrinsic motivation to understand oneself. In my perspective, my journey as a therapist is an extension of my own evolution. Like many of you, I have encountered numerous hardships throughout my life. I have learned to navigate through them by delving into the roots of my lineage, healing my own traumas, confronting self-limiting beliefs and compensatory behaviors. Of course, the process of self-discovery continues to unfold as an ever-evolving journey. However, it is during my most vulnerable moments that I gained profound insights, allowing me to embrace my true, authentic self. By nurturing my own spirit, I discovered the art of connecting with others.
At our very core, we all yearn be seen, heard, understood, and loved. As a healer, my purpose is to support others on their quest for self. I provide a safe space where individuals can embrace the transformative gifts hidden within their own traumas, move through pain, and develop a deeper connection to their bodies. My intention is to inspire others to invite joy, self-compassion, and awareness into their lives that ultimately guides them towards reclaiming their innate power.
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Suffolk University, followed by a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from William James College. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working for some renowned organizations, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, and Meadows Behavioral Healthcare. My vast experience led me to serve as the Assistant Clinical Director at Meadows Malibu prior to venturing into private practice. While in my role, I utilized my extensive clinical training and leadership abilities to support therapists in their growth and enhance the quality of care for clients.
My areas of expertise are trauma, addiction, and mental health. With a strong background in dual diagnoses, I also specialize in a diverse range of issues, such as eating disorders, anger/rage, OCD, bipolar disorder, phobias, love addiction, and personality disorders. I provide therapy to adolescents, adults, couples and have developed a niche for working with high-profile individuals in the entertainment industry, medical professionals, lawyers, professional athletes, and entrepreneurs.
Over the years, I have pursued certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Pia Melody’s Post Induction Therapy (PIT) to assist trauma survivors. I adopt an integrative approach that empowers clients to actively participate in their healing process. I customize my treatment modalities to address the unique needs of each individual, ensuring a personalized experience. Clients have expressed their appreciation for my collaborative style, which strikes a delicate balance between providing attunement and offering direct guidance.
BLISS
PUGGLE (PUG-BEAGLE MIX)
Bliss is my 16-year-old puggle. He has been a part of my life since he was 3 months old, and it is safe to say that we have been through a few different seasons together. I joke that Bliss, “grew me up,” but in many ways I came to appreciate that pets can sometimes be our greatest teachers. He has taught me a sense of responsibility, the art of playfulness, the gift of living in the present moment, and what it means to spread and receive love.
Bliss is known for his charming and vivacious personality, often filled with a spectrum of expressions that others find intriguing. He is certainly a curious boy that loves to explore, adapts easily to new environments, enjoys a healthy serving of snacks, and captures the attention of others with his inviting smile. As my “co-therapist,” Bliss’s demeanor is appealing to my clients since he offers gentle affection that enhances their therapeutic experience.
In Bliss’s world, the pawsibilities are endless, and we look forward to seeing you in our office together!
“The highest form of self-expression is giving ourselves the permission to redefine our identity – speaking our truth, owning our truth, and accepting our truth. In doing so, we reclaim our power and honor our authentic selves.”
